Welcome Buzz, hope you have a good time with us in the club.
Sounds like you have an interesting profession - will need to catch up and chat about that one!
Take it easy and hope to catch up soon around a campfire somewhere (or the regular club meeting :p )

Hey Paul welcome
Good to see another RRC in the club. Funny enough we are off to Vanuatu in a few days. Is your wife from Vanuatu or PNG. You didn't work up in Tabubil around the OK Tedi mine in PNG in the 90's. You have one of those familiar faces.
Lookim you

Margaret is from P.N.G. Her family are living in Tubersaria a village 20 k out of Port Moresby.
I'm Avionics Engineer with Bristow.
Yeah I worked in P.N.G. from around the early 1990's. One of the company's i worked for was Hevilift in Mt Hagen. I used to fly into Ok Tedi every now & then.
One of the only things I liked about Vanuatu is there Coffee. Funny enough the south island Tanna grow good coffee and its roasted nearly every day in Vila. Not far from the Airport actually. If you like fresh roasted Coffee. Its worth getting some. Sometimes the bean's I'd get were still warm!
I still have a couple of KG in the Freezer.

I,ve done a fair bit of work around Moresby etc myself, but mostly up in OK Tedi. Did hevilift run a Sqirrell out of Tabubil air strip??. had many a hair raising flight down to Kiunga in it.
Last time I drove up into Hagen , shall I say they were having some domestic problems as Hagen frequently did;)
Margaret reminds me of some great freinds I have in PNG. Is her Village out past Gerahu?
Will catch up with you in the future
I'll grab some coffee in Tana as well thanks

Thanks everyone.
I will be at the meeting next Thursday.
Hevilift ran a 212 in Tabubil. They only had 212's and 206's when I was there.
Just remember the coffee is grown in Tanna, but it's roasted in Vila.
If you go along the road that takes you out to Mele bay, when you leave the tar and go onto the gravel its about 200 metres on the right.
