Found something in the shed that I had forgot I had during my ongoing shed clean out.
It was in amongst all my 4x4 mags,I was sorting the non Landy mags form the Landy mags.
An original Ser1 sales brochere. Its in pretty good nick, printed 11/9/1954.
Has the Ser1 on the cover going past the sign saying NO ROAD except Land-Rover.I dont believe its a reprint, its quite old looking in paper quality.
I picked it up many moons ago from a swapmeet.

Is it four pages A4 and when you open it up extra pages fold down? LR Australia printed up a whole heap back in 1998 for the 50th Anniversary. Unusually it doesn't say "reprint" anywhere.

Yes it does Rob.
BUT I bought it a LONG time before I bought my secondhand 1999 D2!!!!
The paper is "old"
I still intend posting pics, see if I get time on the weekend.

G'day LandyAndy :)
If it is an original, there will be a brochure (publication) number on it somewhere, there was a series of articles about these brochures in LRE magazine over the last few years from the first up until what's in the current mags, (3rd gen Rangie) some of these sales brochures are VERY rare, even in England, the publication Number will be the key:)

I have a couple of these reprints. They look original (apart from the paper obviously being new and crisp).

I got this exact brochure years ago at (I think the motor show). Chopped it up (I was a kid) so I could stick it all over my school folders.
sure hope it wasn't original

Thats the one.
Perhaps it is a reprint.
Next time you are down Ben I will get you to compare paper quality.
Pretty sure I got this pre 1998.
The Landy mags it was stored with are dated 1994 to 1997!!!!

These brochures were published by LR Australia in 1993 - perhaps to coincide with the 45th anniversay?
To spot the re-print open it up and hold it to the light. You will see a watermark (the word) "CONSERVATION" together with a three-arrow re-cycle logo.

Yep, I see it, if you look at the top of the back (where the strip of photos are) held up to the light you'll see the word and logo, just as Rob describes :)
Thanks Rob!
