Nice home-made videos about a couple of blokes driving their 110 through Zaire. Excellent cooperation between a few travellers to build a raft to cross a river.

Five videos in the series, but these two are the most interesting:

YouTube - walkabout worldtrack part 5; "Building a raft"

YouTube - walkabout worldtrack part 6 "Christmas gift from Zaire"

Cheers
David

Amazing photo of those mosquitoes! How did you work out they were mosquitoes? Did you get caught up in the 'swarm'?

You'd need a few cans of aeroguard to cope with that lot

That was the bottom end of Lake Malawi, we looked and thought it was maybe smoke as it was towards Mozambique and there was fighting there at the time
but A guy told us it was the young mosquitos who breed over the swampy areas in the lake and when they moved(after maturing) they moved in swarms like this, also heard of this in Lake Victoria? in Uganda also
We hopped inside the tent with a mosquito net when they came to us
Most mosquitos/ etc like swampy wet areas apparently :)
