last week went for a drive on the highway to head somewhere to get parts, while traveling at 100 km's a large vibration could be felt and heard would go away at 90km's.
Finally managed to go under for a look checking the uni joints they were all ok when I went to check the rubber doughnut there was alot of movement, pulled it off to check the nut and found there was no split pin stopping the nut from turning.
about three years ago had the diff ratios changed and I only had one day off a fortnight and worked really long hours up to 14 or more thought I will drop it of at a Landrover repair shop to get done in Sydney.
I guess I was lucky it lasted 3 years and no damage was done it back up and put in a split pin even the slight whine the diff started getting went away I had been under a couple of weeks when that started to check the oil level.
