As the others have pointed out, I'm sure you earnt a nice fat sum of $$$ to pay that much tax. You could move to Germany, where the income tax rate is almost 50%!!! Or Sweden where it gets to 57%!!!

As has been pointed out, nobody can afford to build a car like that on what the dole pays. Skimming a few forums, it seems the first one the kid built was funded by daddy, who obviously isn't on the dole.

My last pay had over $4000 tax taken out and I don't like it one bit.
Doesn't happen very often though, very rarely do I get paid enough for that. Should get a fair bit back with my tax return.
