81 auto to 5 speed

I have an 81 2 door with the pre factory 3 speed auto box that was installed in Australia before sale. The VIN says 4 speed manual.

I have located a R380 and LT230 combo and will do the transplant in the next few months.

Q: Has anyone done this and what problems did you find/fix?

the floorpan is different from the 4 speed manual/ 3 speed auto to the 5speed manual. i dont know how much different but it is mainly around the gearbox tunnel.however this is a bolt in part so changing it isnt too bad apart from the two scews under the heater which means that has to come out too. of course you could just fabricate youre own tunnel.
