Applied a "Ufixit" kit to a decent starburst chip + cracks ... gained courtesy of a B-double a few weeks ago... the cracks had started to lengthen ever so little by little... Was a bit sceptical about the stuff...but heck what's $35 when I may be up for a new screen...

Gotta say the stuff is amazing... SWMBO couldn't tell where the chip/cracks had been till I pointed out a tiny dot... no sign of the cracks.. here's hoping! I presume this is similar stuff to what the O'Briens people use in their mobile chip fix service...

you could get your local golf course to buy you a new screen.......

just take them a couple of quotes and let them pick........since it was one of their balls that broke it as you were driving past........

for around $50 to $70 a year....you can add glass cover to your insurance policy.......
if it should break like it did......you can get it replaced for free......and it shouldnt affect your no-claim bonus.....

some will only allow you one glass per year.......others will have unlimited glass.....and this covers all glass........not just the front screen......

check with your insurance company........tell them you are going on a trip in a few weeks and are interested in glass cover.......
because the last time you went on this trip......it cost you and another car in the convoy a screen.......

wait a month or two......then claim.........

but dont tell them i told you about it........
