The universal joints in my County's front prop are completely had it :(. I'm just wondering if I remove the front prop to get it repaired, can I still drive the vehicle ?? I'd like to take it to a garage to get the brakes sorted while I do the propshaft.

Lock the centre diff - and take it easy. Should get you around for a few days.

Prop off, Difflock in and drive from the rear axle only - No worries.

As above - yes. Just don't throw it round too enthusiastically as the handling will be different, and avoid using low range. (Oh, and stay out of the mud etc - you might get stuck!)

Then, when you get the prop back, invest in a grease gun and use it. ;)

Yes, agree, I have done 5000 km in my old 109 Stage 1 like that including Hobart-Sydney at high speeds ;)
