what would a series1 tray back be worth have been offered 1 needs restoring.was told the only reason he stopped driving it was the fuel pump stopped working and was going to cost him money he also reckons its pretty rough needs lots of work.will be going out to have a look in the next 2/3 days he is going to give it to me for very cheap deal. everything on it is completely original.he also has another one at his shack which is apparently road worthy but just sits in the shed his mother wont sell it for sentimental reasons bugger although she is getting on

It's worth what you are prepared to pay, but as an example, our 107 which drives well, has a straight body, but needs a new chassis and brakes cost us $600.

It is impossible to give a price sight unseen, and then it will vary enormously depending on things like:-

Vehicle history - known and documented history may increase value
Condition - one in near mint condition may be worth up to several thousand dollars. If in rough condition it will be worth little more than scrap value unless it is a rare model or has unusual documented history.
Model - 80", particularly 48/49 are relatively more valuable, as are 107 wagons. So are fire engines, and probably other factory special vehicles such as welders.

"What is it worth?" questions are a bit like "how long is a piece of string?"

or

Its only worth as much as you want to pay for it..........
