Well I, like most people these days drive 2 cars sporting alloys wheels. The bain of my life has been trying to remove brake dust build up. It's made worse by the fact that I'm not one of those who judiciously attends to cleaning the car each week... I just don't.
The other day Mrs Wardy was listening (she's a good girl learning to do that....DUCK:wasntme:) to the radio and heard this wise bird with the miracle cleaner........
COLD TEA ADMINISTERED WITH AN OLD PAIR OF PANTYHOSE!!!!
Well everyone, after much nagging (this comes naturally....DUCK:wasntme:), I decided to try it. Just put a saucepan on the stove with a whack of tea leaves, brought it to the boil then let it cool.
With every skeptical bone in my body ready to say "I told you it wouldn't work", I set about the task.....It was bloody amazing! All I did was slop it on and bugger me, a little bit of a rub with the old pantyhose and the brake dust was gone!
Give it a try, I was bloody amazed

Cold tea or a wet tea bag also relieves the pain of welding flash, just place a wet (dipped in hot water and let cool) tea bag on your eyelids and squeeze a bit of juice into your eye and the pain goes, Regards Frank.

I've always found soapy water and a soft "dust pan" type brush works well.

there are a zillion old school cleaning tricks.
Molasses for cleaning rusty car parts
a plastic bucket, a battery charger, and 1 tsp of costic soda will do the same.
baking soda for scrubbing down alloy before painting.
Pain striper on alloy then cover with cellophane, give it 5 mints and peal of the cellophane and the paint will come with it.
white wine on a red wine spill then water
broken pen, ink all over your shirt, quickly put in a plastic back with milk. take it home then dump the lot in the washing machine
bleach will not kill mold, it just makes the mold white so you cant see it, it will be back, use achohol cheep vodka will do the trick.
getting bad odorous out of your car ( or any confined space) dump some pool chorine into boiling water the quickly close the door.
etc etc

No, it's cheaper! $2.00 for a scoop of chips and vinegar is 10c extra!:Rolling::Rolling:

An OAP (who shall remain nameless) taught me a great idea with old teabags ;)
Squeeze them out, wrap 2 together with their strings (tabs removed) like a little parcel and let them dry out
When dry put in a container with a little kero. Voila!! Firelighters with oomph
Thanks ZD....they work a treat :D:D:D:D
I will definatly be bringing these to the REMLR BBQ :p
thanks NM :) (again haha)
