A friend and his girlfriend arrived in South Freo, late on Friday night. After the long drive accross the paddock they were happy to reach the home of a mate with whom they would be spending the night. On Saturday morning they found that their car had been broken into and robbed. They have lost just about everything, however the things that cannot be replaced, are of no value to anyone else. She has been here, from England for almost 2 years. In this time she has kept diaries of her travels and adventures in our country, these diaries have hopefully been dumped nearby. My request for any one in the area, if by remote chance you see these journals dumped, it would be most greatly appreciated if you could PM me, you will make a young adventurer very, very happy.
Thanks, Ian.

Sorry to hear about that, the first time I had taken my defender out it was broken into in broad daylight at bondi junction! There was not a single thing in the car, it was 100% empty.

Are we talking about South Freo in Perth? If that is the case then I will certainly have a look around.

That's the one between Rockingham and Perth. Lost all their clothes, three cameras and the gear previously mentioned. They had only taken an overnight bag in with them.
Thank-you, Ian.

Ok then, I live right smack bang in the middle of South Freo so I will certainly keep an eye out. If you want to PM the address or street to me, then I will have a better idea of where they are/where their stuff could be.

Hope they are doing ok. There are a lot of very good people here, but a lot of sad bad ones aswell. They are not normally the traditonal lowlifes (druggies, pedophiles etc etc) but more often they are older mentaly unstable petty theives. I know one guy who has been caught several times just rifling through unlocked cars for spare change. It happened to my ma once when she left her car unlocked. We live right behind the pub though, and not once have we had any dramas at all

That Sucks.

Similar thing happened to me in Rome in the early 70's in a VW Camper; nothing valuable to anyone else, irreplaceable to the one with the memories.

Any chance of a more specific location (pm if you wish), I’m 5km East of Freo and really feel like going for a drive tomorrow to look in bins …

I'm at work in the centre of Freo - will keep an eye and ear open on the off chance.

Hope they get their gear back - there definitely are some low life scum around. :angrylock:
