Just wondering if anyone on here is a member of the WAC "Westlakes Automobile Club"
They have a couple of properties with some good courses on them i have been thinking of buying a cheap car and entering the rally stages :).
But i thought i would see if any of you guys are members.

Maybe......
Rally is expensive, cheaper options are available
You should attend a meeting and an event or two before committing.
Warning: Meetings are in Toronto
According to some members here, your pets will get raped, car torched and house burgled at the sheer mention of the suburbs name or the fact that there is a centrelink office within 10km's of it

Yeah ralley isn't cheap no matter what car you have, but i know the Coffs Harbour car club run club days when you can bring a car in under club rego or something and race around in a paddock, great fun:D
I think we are a member of the club i'm not shore:angel:

Cheers...
I have a mate thats in it i have been to watch him a couple times looks like a hoot!
As for cost,
$120- For a 12 month license
$50 - For each race day you attend (plus fuel and possible repairs)
What are these cheaper options? ;)

you forgot a few costs, like the car, mods, cams approval etc....
go to a meeting or the site, not the place here. It would involve modifying cars.

Got the car part covered... i was thinking of buying a mates old unit. Just been talking to him then he said i can have it as he no longer uses it :D. So car and mods are already done and approved :)
But even then i could use one of my many cars sitting around the paddock which are standard but would do the trick. ;)
Does anyone know of cheaper rally clubs in the Newcastle area? :)
James.
