Buy a truck and get an AK-47 | The Daily Telegraph (http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/news/buy-a-truck-and-get-an-ak-47/story-e6frev20-1225752289326)
A GOD-fearing, gun-toting American carsalesman is offering the incentive of a "lifetime" - buy one of his pick-up trucks and get a free AK-47.
Salesman Mark Muller who owns a dealership in Butler near Kansas - which goes by the slogan "Guns, God, Guts and American Pick-Up Trucks" - said the firearms deal was a responsible why to market his trucks.
He told London's Daily Mail: "We feel we have an obligation to protect ourselves. There are a bunch of maggots out there and not protecting yourself is highly irresponsible.
"Everyone is scared at the moment. You cannot buy bullets because stores are selling out and guns are hard to come by, so I thought it was a good promotion. The only people being irresponsible are those not protecting themselves."
Mr Muller not only offers guns as a sales incentive - he has offered handguns before - he too is a passionate gun owner.
"I've got them all, partner. AKs, AR-15s, shotguns, handguns, everything," he said.
"I do not carry a gun because I'm evil. I carry a gun because I have lived long enough to see evil out there.
"I have had to defend my family once before and I would do it again. I'm 50 now and can defend myself, but what about when I'm 65 and what about my wife? Guns are a great equaliser.
"We do not like pinhead bureaucrats telling us we can or cannot protect ourselves."
Mr Muller said the campaign had been overwhelmingly positive.
"One customer has put in an order for seven trucks, but told us, 'I do not need seven AK-47s,' so I'm letting him choose other guns."
How about a free tank of petrol!! :D

I wonder if you order the vehicle and request the weapon to be colour matched if that would be a problem?
Or, would the weapon size match the vehicle.. ie: small car - small hand gun, large pick up truck, M60...

What's wrong with that ? The guns are legal where they are beig offered. The people aren't being FORCED to take the guns, they can always refuse.
Stooge... what gun would you get if you bought a Pink Porsche ?
... probably a Remington... :lol2:

If i specify a semi-auto transmission (tiptronic or whatever you call it) does that mean I get a semi-auto rifle, oh wait an AK is already semi-auto :p
But I would much prefer a manual car - does this mean I have to be satisfyed with a repeater/bolt action?
Hate to think what I would get if i specified an auto transmission in my truck

LOL because America is the biggest manufacture of AK47s and has been since about 1958. as for the russian bit well the first Stamped receivers were based on the M1, they were with drawen because they were crap, replaced with a machined receiver until about 1955, when they copied the US manufactured stamped receivers that worked. any way russia hasn't manufactured the AK47 for about 20 years, there main arm is the AK 74 ( NATO chambered) much nicer you can actually hit the barn door with it. I should know i was one of the first to acquire one in 87.
the chinese AK is quite different and is actually much better ( quality control) than the soviet original still rattles though, if its your thing you would be much better off with the Israel SA Grail, same thing different furniture.
last report i saw in 2001 was there were 1200 known assembly or manufacturing points for the AK in the world

Because banning guns doesn't solve much at all, proven by the laws in Australia banning Semi auto rifles and shotguns and pump shotguns etc, I have done a project at School on this and it shows firearm related crimes went up when the laws were introduced..because banning guns doesn't mean stopping guns as they will always be available on the blackmarket etc, and banning them just ensures the law abiding citizens who would actually hand there guns in are unarmed and the criminals are not,

I think the idea would be to lock the ak47 in the boot with NO ammo... then give them the keys to their new vehicle whilst you HAVE the loaded weapon... even writing this I think WTF!

You don't get the gun with the car.
1. You buy the car from the caryard.
2. You get a voucher to value of $XXX.XX.
3. You get yourself legally licensed to carry a firearm, at cost to yourself.
Then
4. You take your voucher to a participating gunsmith, show your new gun license, trade in the voucher for gun of choice to the value of the voucher at $XXX.XX (doesn't have to be an AK).
Or, as we saw in NZ........... buy a new 4wd, and get a free Goat. !?!?!?!?

PS Clean32; some people think a 2way range is more interesting (not me though)
i thought i was good, then i got there and discovered i wasn't, 6 months latter i was good, 12 months i was very good in-between excessive intakes of sticky rice, grizzle grass and Low Cow. so good that i know i wasn't going to get clipped. i was correct it was a PFM-1.
i get a bit annoyed at some people flapping off about different weapons and weapon systems because they look cool, make a big bang or punch a big hole but are very limited in there application or require a lot of support in there application. My choice was always depending on ground and task was ether MP5, MP10, Colt Mk7, or FN 40. for long arms, short arms again depending on ground, any Yank 1911 pattern in .45 if wet SW 38 police specials 1955 pattern. there is nothing in that kit that is younger than 30years and nothing that is desirable to the wannabe rambo types.
I hgave a very healthy respect for the AK range of weapons, they are how ever limited in, build quality, amo quality ( 14 grm charge as was soviet law, LOL and current RF law as well as Chinese Law), training of the operator, more often than not there limited amo supply. ( dodgy warlords only give the boys 5 rounds, boss's get a full mag). shish i could go on all day

I'm not 100% sure what the idea was when spelling the sticker in question as "WHERE". I do know that the previous owner of the sticker in question had to have it specially made, hence I suspect it was an intentional typo, designed to be redneck. It is far more humorous as "WHERE".
Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately depending on how you look at it) the sticker in question encountered some technical difficulties at Tighes Hill Tafe and no longer exists.
