Went to start my old tractor today only been about 6 weeks
started then stopped again.
low sulphur fuel and 40 + year old type seals don't mix.
Fuel had leaked out of the injector pump (dpa) type.
Can anybody help with a product to add to the fuel to stop
it leaking out.
The tractor is a later B275 international if anyone was wondering.
thanks

Andrew.

Why not replace the seals?

Could cost as much as the tractor is worth
as there is nothing else wrong with the pump.

We've had low sulphur fuel for quite a few years now, so I doubt you could blame that.

Again, I think seal replacement is the only way. No additive is likely to be able to repair knackered seals; sorry. :(

I have to replace the lift pump on my tractor because of this, and I always use Redline RL2 as an additive to help lubricity.
At least the CAV rotary pump is still fine (touch wood)
