Hi All

just got back from a trip down the Gibb with the family over the last couple of weeks.
I have an 02 Defender fitte with a GKN Overdrive unit, the unit performed well on the highway sections but on the way home decided to stop working!
The Led flashes and then stays on as if it is being engaged at to low a speed. The owners manual offers no real help but checked all of the oil levels and electrical cable connections that I could find with no joy.
Hoping that someone out there may be able to give me any pointers, I live in Darwin o don't like my chances of finding a workshop who will have any experience with the units.
Any help would be great.
Cheers.

matey if you get no response on here (hope you do) try lro international magazine forum as gkn's are more common in the uk landy market and you may get some help more promptly.
to the Admins ...not promoting alternative sites just trying to help a fellow aulrion out regards andy

If you don't find anything here, check out -
LR4x4 - The Land Rover Forum (Powered by Invision Power Board) (http://forums.lr4x4.com)

They've got a few threads in their tech archive which is very good.

Hey Gecko

the gibb was an awesome trip and the car ran nicely, the only niggle is the overdrive but the site that the guys on the forum have put me onto is really helpful.

Good to hear that you got most of your bits and pieces fitted, I stilll have to fit the Equipe slidders some time this week before heading back to work.

Cheers for the welcome home Lotsa landies - how did you get on with your A SQN vehicle restoration?
