I am still a little baffled as to what would cause the hose to come off. Maybe in the unfortunate owner's case there has been some blow back that has pushed the hose out but for it to happen again with the new motor installed is extraordinary.

So in the interests of prevention I have hose clamped it. I've only done the turbo hose side because the spigot is firmly attached to the smaller hose.

Here are some photos:

The hose:

You would think that it would be as the other end is...however it isn't probably for no good reason.

:D I can just see all of us AULROvians with Pumas - on our way to the hardware store for a hose clamp - for all time, it will be the mark of an AULROvian Puma - that special extra hose clamp!

Thanks Mahn. It's info like this that makes this place so special. And let's face it, we need it given the dealer support. :)

Pleased to advise that at 20,000km service with dealer they supplied and fitted my 2012 Defender 90 2.2 with a new modified turbo charge pipe hose and mounting bracket -complete with hose clamps at each end (as per factory campaign) at no charge. Amazing

Yep . . . . I've just checked my 2013 110 over and LR have sorted it. In fact at the end connected to the Turbo hose it is double clamped :D

My 2012 model looks the same as this. I was amused to find that on the other end of that hose there's an irrigation clamp. It's a "cobra" clip, the same ones that I use on the low density poly pipe in my orchard. They're good quality stainless clamps so should be fine - beats me why they didn't use an ordinary automotive hose clamp though.
