My brother and hes father in-law (and respective families) were driving through Vic country (near sky fields?) when some moron cut a corner and forced them to take evasive action. As you can see from the pics, they were very lucky they didnt roll down the steep hill.
Brother says theres nothing there stopiing a vehicle rolling down for a least 100mtrs... could of been a very serious/deadly situation. They eventually got recovered by the truck, but to give you an indication, even the truck slipped sideways on the tar due to the weight.
PS: You cant bag the in-law for driving an toyo... he also has a 4 door rangie classic

damage to a car you can handle, but the alternative is unthinkable

Thats what we think too! I should have mentioned that my bro tried to snatch/tow him out... hes disco facing the otherside. What ended up happeining was he smoked up the disco tyres (bugger didnt get any photos :() and hes father in law (very brave man, nothing scares him) was in the toyo. Unfortunately, hes toyo was also draggin my brother back... so potentially they could of both gone over if they didnt stop!

Once again, this is shocking,,,glad everyones ok,,,
This sort of thing happens a fair bit up the mountains, have had a few close calls myself with city slickers who just have no idea of the dangers,, They go skiing and forget that their tired and fatigued from their day already,, or the partying the previous night,,,
Did the offending driver pull over to help, check everyone was ok,,, or did he do a runner like most :twisted:

He pulled over, but I think he realised what situation they were in and quickly left the scene.
Now not wanting to bag the services, but my bro rang 000, spoke to the lady requesting assistance, she said ill get the fire brigade onto it. 20min later, she calls and admits she made a mistake and that Fire Brigade dont do that anymore! WTF, dont these 000 operators know whats going on? 20min is a long time, especially if your injured!

Sometimes greeting your new found friend with punch to the head is warranted I think:(

OH :o Cesar (the owner of the Toyo) was lucky again. Knowing him I think that he was not scared at all.
I am glad that all finished Ok, I will ring him tonight and see if he can replicate the accident and film it for us :D
