Ok, I've got a PST file with a lot of info in it that is being a pain. it's originally a outlook 2000 version, but in outlook 2003 or 2007 only about 5 e-mails show up.

I've tried a couple of freeware pst recvoery tools, but they either stamp everything, won't save the changes or need payment to work. is there any freeware ones out there?

Yes, I have tried the microsoft one, no go.

Why don't you just reinstall "outlook 2000" ... you must have a "bunky computer" left lying around somewhere ....

Phoneix PST repair does work, but the trial version only does some of it. I may need to buy, or acquire a copy.

The old PC I gave to my brother still has outlook 2000 installed on it, so I might drop in to him and open it there and move the e-mails into a fresh PST.

I'm interested in this as I want to merge PST files from a couple of computers and move them to a new PC that is already running Outlook.
