After hearing of one of the people at the Blackwood gathering had their car stolen not too long ago which was his pride and joy then having mine broken in to recently:angrylock: I am a bit paranoid after all we spend our time and money making them to suit what we want which is often a milestone to achieve with budgets and families etc. :MileStone:
Anyway after the window was fitted I went to Tint A Car (thanks RACV, it pays for windscreen cover with no excess on glass replacement), Tint A Car have a car alarm with smash glass sensors for $450 fitted. Does anyone else know of a good quality alarm with window or smash glass sensors that wont go off if you burp to loudly near it :o

Have a look at the Black Widow range of alarms. They seem pretty good for the money.

If you are serious about a car alarm, then make sure that it has all black wiring, and can be intregrated into your central locking.

You may even find that if you have it professionally installed, the insurance company gives you a discount on your premium. It may pay to check with them first, and ask for their recommendation. Lets face it, they are in the business of saving money. If they can reduce the cost of a claim, they will.
