Now for some architecture shots; abandoned or busy, big or small, day or night.
Show us some bricks and morter!!
Rules..
See here for the general rules (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/camera-corner/82504-photo-comp-rules.html).
This comp's rules..
1. 2 pictures ok but only one can be an old photo (shot before 29/7/2009).
2. The photos must be black and white.
If you'd like, you can leave one element of the photo coloured. (See this thread for methods and examples) (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/camera-corner/81797-how-do-i-do.html#post1003136) The colour highlight is not a requirement though.
Sepia toning or other 'colourising' is also ok but the feeling of the picture must be monochrome. Less is more!
For performing the conversions, there are many free programs that will turn an image into black and white. If you don't know where to start, I recommend Picasa3 from google. It's quick and simple and gives good quality results.
3. POST PICS!! :D :D :D
Entries close at 10pm Sunday 9th August.
Happy snapping! :)
Cheers
Andrew.

I generally only take landscapes, but occasionally a building gets in the way...

Taken last Thursday.
Minolta 9000 with 17-35mm@17mm
TMax 400 film scanned with a Dimage 5400II film scanner.
Doesn't matter how many times I tell myself 'It's film! It's film!', I still look at the back of the camera after pressing the shutter, to see how it looks. :wallbash:
