Nikon has tonight announced the release of:
* D3000 to replace D60 and as a model below the D5000
* D300s to upgrade the D300
* new 18-200 lens
* new 70-200 f/2.8 lens

More information Nikon Australia (http://www.nikon.com.au) and Digital Photography Review (http://www.dpreview.com)

Think I'll wait and see if something moves on the D700 by the end of the year.

The new Nano coated 70-200 would be a nice lens for Simon to buy for his D700;)

Bugger! I would love to see an upgrade of the 300 f/4 to a VR version to compete with the Canon for avian photography :(
