parts for a 1954 series one 86inch

Hi gang, I'm new to this so bear with me. Anyone know where to get replacement chassis parts for a 1954 86inch

Chassis parts as in corssmembers and outriggers etc?

You can get new ones for a Series II from some suppliers, but I doubt any Australian retailers would have Series I repro outriggers... UK sources might (sorry - I'm not a Series I person so much)

It is just metal. Why not repair or build your own? Its mostly made up from seam welded flat steel. Alternatively, find a good bit on a dead chassis and cut it out. ;)

Thanks guys for your reply's, I have resigned myself to having to make new parts, I am a bolermaker by trade so the steel part isn't difficult. I was hoping to get original parts to make the restoration more authentic.
The only difficult part is getting all the original dimensions for the cross members that are under the gearbox. mine have been changed over by the previous owner and were made incorrectly as well as in the wrong position and completely out of square, I guess I will just have to look at pictures and do some guess work. At present I am rebuilding the passenger side chassis rail, or about 1.5 metres of it anyway. I then have a nightmare of a bulkhead to contend with, as it too has more rust than steel left. The previous owner used to carry a weed sprayer tank in the rear tub, so the whole vehicle has been subjected to an enourmous amount of moisture for many years. Once again thanks.

I manufactured a gearbox crossmember a few months ago. It is now much stronger than the original one. It was not hard to make, and would be easy for a boiler maker.

Hi guys, sorry for not being able to get online any sooner but I got a good dose of Ross River Fever as well as Barmar Forest Virus (how lucky is that). As for photo's, will try to get some posted here soon,and yes I am in Gladstone central queensland. I have also just been given a 1951 80 inch but its in a really bad way. I haven't been able to do any work on the chassis of the 86 inch for several weeks due to my illness but I am hoping to get started again this weekend.
