Gday everyone what year were the first isuzu landys produced ?
A mate at work has told me about a 1981 Diesel Landy for sale...he doesnt know what motor or anything else..were Isuzu's available at this stage ? iam guessing its just a Series 3 landy diesel.
But might look into it, if there is a possibility its an Isuzu

Mine is one of the first 45 stage 1 Isuzu's built. It is 1/82. I think there MAY have been some built late 81. Just ask your mate if the radiator panel is flush with the guards. If not, series deisel, or possibly a heart transplant.

Series III Stage 1s with 3.9D were introduced in 1981/82.
Coil sprung 110 countys and hardtops were introduced 1983/84
So if it is 1981 it will be a Series 3 Stage 1 with leaf springs, drum brakes and armstrong power steering.

The media launch for the 3.9D's was held in early December 1981 at Wonnangatta Station, in Victoria's high country, with six Isuzu LRs present. Series production would have started maybe sometime in the last quarter of 1981 to build up volume for when sales began, at the start of '82.

That series III stage 1 is what I purchased a week ago for $2000. Mine is a 1982.
