This article gives us a very interesting insight to some of the 'behind the scene's' development work a company like Rover was doing in the late 1940's and early 50's. The article is on early petrol injection tests and one of the engines used is the well know here 1.6 litre Rover IOE engine we all know and love. Have a look at page 5 for the picture of the fuel injected 1.6 side plate engine they made up.
