ahhh There wouldn't be 535 members of the Australian Parliment.....

Snopes (http://www.snopes.com/politics/crime/congress.asp)says it was original spread about the US Congress but the claims were hard to prove.

Nonetheless, they are still oxygen thieves with egos as big as this country - like insurance, a necessary evil. And on a state level, that train wreck John Della Bosca looks like being the new premier of NSW - they may as well just save us all a ton of money and time, vacate and hand over to the liberals...between Rees' arrogance, Della Bosca's 7 speeding fines in 13 months and Iguanagate, and the transport minister calling us all "hoons"...who would trust them??:nazilock:

I was going OK (possibly) until I read this one:

Can't believe that at all. Must be some other parliament, but not Australian.

Plus, if they were arrested for shoplifting and convicted they couldn't be an MP anyway, because I don't think you can have a criminal record (don't know that for sure though....).
