Hey Guys and Gals... why doing the usual random image searches of 4x4s i get some odd creatures appear. And it got me wondering what pitures do you guys have of some strange yet wonderful 4x4s? (6x6, 8x8 etc)

Here is one i just found.

This is a actual working tourist bus that goes up in the sand dunes .....

Not strange .... but good to see, as a daily worker ....

Looking at the first one and scratching my head......
Why would you need a light weight mesh guard over the front of what seems to be a steel plate nose?????

I hope that isn't an Aldi winch on the front of it !

My only explanation is that it is an amphibious vehicle to explore the lakes in USA

On the 1st one it is a fish net that you lower into water as you are making a crossing and viola you have your dinner.
With the 4x4 bus they use a similar thing in Churchhill Manatoba, Canada for Polar Bear watching.

Yep I think you're right. I remember watching something on foxtel about it. The 'V' shaped hull is so that if a mine/IED is detonated beneath it the force is deflected away from the vehicle rather than up and into it like a 'normal' vehicle.
