For a second consecutive week I got again the Image of the Week in Nature Scapes
Just hope that this year I can have the Image of the Year, las year I missed it even if a I have 7 images voted for the IOW :(
This is the image, an abstract of a Kangaroo Paw flower.
I converted it to an abstract by working on the BG because it was too busy by the grevilleas to post it on the conventional Flora & Maco forum.
Cheers

Thanks mfc.
The lens is the cheap Nikkor 35-70 f/1:3.3 - 4.5 which was a kit lens with the Nikon 601AF and the 801s back on 1990.
I am considering in get a macro lens and looking at the results of other members at the forum
For long range (macro terms :) ) I looking into the Sigme 150 or the 180
In 100 mm can be the Nikkor wich is excellebt but expensive or any of the others which are very good like the Sigma, Tamaron or Tokina.
The other option wich day by day looks more attractive to me is the Nikkor 300mm f/4 which is capable of fantastic close up shots (semi macro) and also is an excellent bird glass for the photographer that cannot go to the $ 6000 + league
