Hey Everyone,

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem:

I have set up different driver seat and mirror positions for two drivers and stored them under memory position 1 and memory position 2. I also have two keys for the car and have set up key 1 to lazy entry to seat position 1 and key two to lazy entry to seat position 2. This all works fine and when i unlock the car with key 1 the seat and mirrors set themselves appropriately and likewise when i unlock with key 2.

This is where it gets odd however. When I unlock with key 1, seat and mirrors for key 1 are adopted. I can then press button 2 on the seat and hey presto the settings change. But if i unlock the car with key 2, seat and mirrors for key 2 are adopted but none of the driver memory seat buttons do anything. I press button 1 nothing happens, press button 3 nothing happens, adjust the seat manually to a completely different position and press buttons 1, 2 or 3 ... nothing happens...

Anyone seen this or know why it could be happening???

Thanks in advance!

There's a bulletin out for a problem like this. It usually affects the mirror memory position first so it may not be your problem.

The above fix is a replacement seat ECU.

Hello landylaw

I have the same issue but it doesn't seem to be consistent. Perhaps it is related to the keys as you mention. I will now take greater notice of which key is used. Can you advise which MY your vehicle is?

Had this type of problem with my wifes Jag S Type, they had to replace the computer to fix it.
