Hi All, just a quick question for all of you who have stuck with your EAS. Was down in the South East of SA last weekend, drove from Carpenters rocks to Robe through the dunes - was a fantastic weekend of 4x4ing!

My question is - when ever the suspension reached max (I assume) articulation their was a loud clunk that came from the rear suspension, is this normal? If not what could it be? I have just put new standard height Arnotts bags in a couple of weeks ago.

cheers,

Rick

g'day,

if its the same noise as i think it is, i used to get it quite a bit when i went 4x4n i believe its one of two things. either the shocks maxing out which would give you a clunk sound because the wheels want to go down and the car wants to go up. or its when the airbags shuv the tire back onto the ground creating a clunk like noise.

just outta curiosity...does the abs chatter when this is happening??

Thanks,

Mike

Hey Mike,

The shock maxing out makes sense, when it 1st did it I thought i'd cleaned something up..! Might need to look into upgrading them with something with more travel. Na the abs doesn't chatter.
