Hi There, have noticed a couple of times now when driving my 09 TDV6 SE, that I will hear a warning tone the same as when the suspension is warning you it is about to lower, but there is no apparent reason for it and nothing on the display.
The first couple of times I convincend myself it was imagination or on the radio etc, but it has happened enough times now that I think it may be real.
Anyone else experienced this or have any suggestions as to what it might be?

My 08 TDv6 makes the odd single ding every now and then, with no accompanying information message. I have wondered if its the DSC reacting, as it occurs commoningly on a section of road which has a slight rise followed a sharp descent whilst doing a sweeping right turn.

Mine has always had the occasional random bing from the seat belt warning. I think it's the passenger seat but it dosent happen often enough to tracfk down, maybe once every couple of thousand kays. You can just catch a flash of light from the seat belt light when it goes off.

I've had the same thing a few times on my 08 V6 SE. Sometimes I think that the car is playing mind games on me! :o Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean that its not out to get me.

My 09 JAn build also has odd Ding (Initially about one per day) but does appear to be becoming less frequent. It appears to occur when easing off and just touching the brake pedal. No messages.
Dealer unable to determine. Other than that, the D3 has been fault free and is a great drive.

wasn't really cold outside by chance? I had the "bong" a couple of times before I realised it was the ice warning at 4 degrees.

Doesn't really help AnD3rew, but have had an unidentified single bing about 3 times in the 400km (1 week) that we have had a 09 TDV6 S.

Ou '09 TDV6 SE does the same thing. An apparent random chime with no message. Fairly common earlier this year but it hasn't happened for a while. This was not the ice warning. It usually occurred while braking at slow speeds but no message.

If you have something on the passenger seat it can set offf the seat belt ding, the light can have gone off by the time you look.
Can be disabled:
Ignition on, seat belt in and out nine times, you should hear a ding, seat belt chime will now not happen but light will come on. Disables both passenger and drivers sides.

Thanks everyone, at least I know its not just me going crazy, thanks for the suggestions, re seatbelts etc, but I think now that I know it is not just me I will just leave it alone and not disable enything. The seat belt thing makes sense as I often have something sitting on the passenger seat.
