Hi,

I'm seriously looking at purchasing a demo Freelander 2 TD4 and was wondering if anyone could share their experience on servicing costs. The dealer was unable to provide me a service schedule but did advise that:

there is no major service intervals for the freelander 2, e.g. 100k
services every 12k, 36k, etc, are approx $400
services every 24k, 48k, etc, are approx $800
Does anyone have a service schedule or could shed some light on the servicing costs?

Thanks in advance. :)

Yeah servicing cost are expensive... its every 12,000kms.

My first service was in the mid $400's and the 24k service was closer to the $900 mark.

Thanks...that at least confirms the dealers estimates. What do they do for their 900 bucks? I would hope you get a full engine and gearbox oil change for that! :o

Still very keen on the Freelander, shame the saving I'll make running a diesel will be eaten up with the servicing costs.

If you can get the corporate plan they give you free servicing for 3 years. Need to work for a big company (large turnover).
