Help sourcing canvas repair kit

Hi all

I would like to repair the zip seams on my canvas canopy - the seams are starting to "unthread" in a few spots. I plan on doing this myself, but I just need some rot proof thread and an appropriate needle. There is only a few cms that need repairing.

I have googled the internet for suppliers of thread and needles in Brisbane but had no luck.

Any ideas?

1. Any Marine chandler

2. Any supplier of horse related equipment or saddler

3. Possibly camping supplies

You may find you need a sewing palm as well as a sail maker's needle and suitable thread.
