Had a couple of army Mitsubishi canters in for service the other day, bit strange considering we are the Mercedes Benz & Freightliner dealer....;) but I dont ask questions coz this sat outside my window when they came to drop off drivers to take the Canters back!

However, similarity ends there... I got the eye roll and a "...tsk..." :eek:

I told her it was a 6x6 and she still didnt care! I thought ".. well 6x6 is bigger than 4x4, so somewhere there has to be some phallic value that itrigues both of us.." :angel:

:D:D When we were at the Hobart royal show one year, she took one look at a field workshop with that wide cab and cavernous body, coupled with the might Isuzu 4BD1t and 6 wheel drive and mentioned that "we need to find one of those"...:)

Well yes and no. Yes you have been given approval, and no because myself and Ranga also have approval. Not sure who else is up for one but I believe there arnt many to go round sadly.

When I take my boys dirt bike riding at Pinkenba on the weekends we drive passed the army depot on Kingsfordsmith drive...and there a couple of Perentie's sitting there with grass up to the door handles...:eek:...now where are those bolt cutters....:D

From Katherine back to Brissy in 4 looong days. That was an IIMV not a Workshop. Don't know if they are more or less 'drummy'
Could still hear ok, No worries.

Rumour has it , 270 trailers and 600 landrovers will be released from the army system by christmas.
Those landrovers being released will most likely be 4x4s and the 6x6s models will be a few years after that.
2013 will be a good year to buy a 4x4 ex army landy.
The govt wants money in the bank ASAP so the landies will go.
The problem is they have also stopped the spending on the replacement G Wagons.

They weren't buying as many G wagons as Landrovers.
Only about 2,000 I think. Maybe less.

Correct..........it is all about a treasurer trying to fudge the figures for a election and then the next mob to pick up the problems.
The company involved in the purchase of the army landies has to put the money up front before receiving the vehicles.
It appears to be going ahead.
4x4 landies should be for sale to the public in 2013.

Not so strange at all after all Mercedes kept the truck and commercial vehicle division from their time of ownership of Mitsubishi.
