Hi everyone! Hope someone can help me out. My 300tdi Disco is nearly due for a new timing belt. Can anyone recommend a good mechanic preferably south side of Brisbane. I do have a mechanic local to me but I dont think he has worked on many Land Rovers. Thanks in advance!!

you could try Mike Hall's Rovercare at Slacks Creek (just off Moss St). Paul now owns it I think.

I haven't used them for mechanical repairs. But Paul has been very helpful with parts advice. They pretty much only do rovers.

I wasn't going to put a boundary as too how far I would travel. I just thought someone closer would be easier. I have heard about Ricks and I think there was someone in Redcliffe that I heard was ok, so they were on my list to ring. Thanks!

The lot at Redcliffe are MR Auto, they seem popular with a few of the Brisbane forumites, but they miss out on the southside criteria by about 40kms. :D

Try Greg Tunstall Mechanical - Redlands Based.

Very fair pricing and labour charges - great for parts with lots of experience
