Tried to log into AULRO tonight and took a bit. Kept coming up with AULRO busy, to many people on line and a log in page but would not let me log in for ages. At the time was only 24 members and 34 guests on line.
:confused::confused:

apart from being too popular for it's own good, i dont think so.
will look at the bandwidth usage and see where it is, might be getting out there...

Yea, I gave up last night - took 20 minutes just to 1/2 load the page, so gave up & shut it down. Seems okay now though.

time 10:30pm
isp Telstra Bigpond
operating system Windows Vista
browser Explorer
the link you had trouble using Accessing Aulro main page
where it stalled or errored if possible Clicked normal link in favourites, came up with main page, as soon as I went to click on a forum - general chat, a busy notice came up, stating the site was busy and asked me to log on saying members would get preference to log on, even though I was already logged on and kept doing so for about 20 minutes. Not that many on line only a total of 58 I think on the main page.
Cheers
Craig
thanks muchly.
Hope this helps. No real dramas, just unusual.

The slowenesss is not unusual lately. Pages can be very slow to load [sometimes I just exit the site and come back later] and I too have encountered similar "AULRO is busy and try again later" when accessing the site. I don't encounter any of this with other sites so I assume it to be an issue specific to AULRO.

Any time it is running slowly every other site I bowse to is fine. Average stats on ADSL2 from speedtest.net is 4-5K down and 600 up.
As Pedro says - slow but not make a cuppa slow.

depends what other pages your looking at.
this place is built on dynamic data, very little is constant and that is why it is always going to be slow compared to a static website.
everytime i look around at other big forum sites i find this place runs just as well if not faster than most of the big players.
that said, the more anal your firewall rules and the heavier your internet security settings are, the slower this place will be because of the dynamic data it pumps out.

Surely no one on this site is anal or pedantic in nature, I hadn't noticed:D:D:D:D:D
