Don't know about the last couple of days, but certainly all of last week and the weekend it felt like the beginning of summer! But with winter certainly at an end, here comes...

https://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/imported/2009/08/619.jpg

I've seen lots of indicators that spring is here: trees are in flower, leaves are budding, noisy miners are on the attack ... so "Spring" is the subject of this week's competition.

Not many rules this time, however:

1. We want to see new photos only (taken 26th August 2009 or later).
2. As usual, a maximum of 2 submissions per member.

Happy snapping!

What are you talking about I lived in Tassie for few years and there is not such thing as a Spring, only winter and autumn :D

Melbourne had spring there for a bit, then skipped summer and autumn and went straight back into winter. yay!

Too much moaning people :p

Where I came from originally it wasn't unheard of to have some serious snowfalls even in spring! It's actually a fairly broad subject and variable weather makes great photo opportunities ... just do your best :)

What would spring be without a few wildflowers. All taken within 1km of home this afternoon.

Shame it was so windy - made it a bit hard to get a good pic.

No idea what they are, except native :)

why should you apologise? I would encourage anyone to use a different interpretation of a word...I even thought of doing this myself but couldn't get them out of the shed its too messy ;)

wouldn't it be boring if no one bent the rules to come up with something different:)

OK my choice,

Chucaros - Noisy Miner
Dullbirds - second pic

I would have liked to go with Andylandys second 'spring' but I think the comp is definitely after the "season spring"

A bit late after getting rudely shut down by a power failure last night (so I just headed to bed)

Winner for this week - Bushie

I hope I've counted correctly - would be embarrassing to make a mistake.
