Hi all,

I have just recently purchased a 99 TD5 100 wagon. This may seem a dumb question. On the dash light when you first start. A TC light comes on. Does this mean I have TC. I know the extreme comes with TC but not the 110 standard. How can you tell if you do have TC.

Thanks

Mark..;)

Does it have ABS? If it does it has TC.

It does have ABS. Whoever purchased the 110 from new, got a few extreme optional extras with it. Just need to get oil leaks sorted and this will be a great vehicle...

Thanks

Have you had your oil pump bolt checked? Do this before you do anything.

not all ABS equipped vehicles have TC. IF the TC light comes on and then goes out then yes you have TC. if it comes on and you hear a noise like ABS then its working.

while its on (assuming it goes out) then the System is in a sort of standby mode (as apposed to asleep if its not lit up at all) if its not actually modulating the brakes, so sayeth a landie tech from LRA (so not sure if I believe it but it does make sense)

If the light comes on and stays on (usually the ABS light will come on as well in a deefer) then you have a fault that limits the systems ability. this will typically be a dirty sensor or electrical connector somewhere in the vehicle.

Yep the TC does a self-check when you start up, as I understand it.

The light stays on until you move off. After a few wheel revolutions it's done its thing & should go off.

I said should.. mine comes & goes.

As for the ABS light, I found out when you replace the battery. It plays havoc with the ABS. The ABS light now stays on for about 20 metres of driving.
I am getting a major service at MR Automotive next week, so I will get them to check the oil pump bolt while they are at it.
Has anyone got an idea how much it would cost for a new condenser for AC.

Thanks

Mark...

The puma abs light stays on for about 20 seconds of driving but not the TC. Maybe yours works opposite.

just angle the thing up over a berm, leave the CDL in the unlocked position and if when it cocks the front wheel you get the TC light and an ABS like noise then you have TC.
