Engine light intermittantly comes on..

Hi there,
The wife was driving our 99 Disco II TD5 Manual the other day and the engine light cam on in the local carpark. The Disco idled fine but wouldn't rev. She turned the Disco off, waited a minute, fired the old girl up and was all good.

It did it again to me this morning, but once the Disco was reset it ran fine.
I'm looking for any suggestions?

Two things spring to mind:

1. Check the injector harness plug for oil.

2. Could be problem with throttle position sensor.

There will be a fault code in the ECU memory, which may help in diagnosing this.

Sweet, thanks for the speedy reply. I had a thought that the 'oil in harnesses' may have been the issue, but will see if I can find someone locally to pull the code.
