Being an oldie and being partial to a hamburger that has meat, tomato, lettuce, cheese, beetroot, onion, egg, sauce and sometimes bacon on it, I am afraid that I don't feel either of the options in the poll fit the requirements to qualify as a real hamburger.

I'd go for hugry jacks burgers over Macdonalds anyday, you get more value for money in the meals and get filled up alot more than Maccas...BUT i dont mind the old burger from your local fish & chips shop as well, especially if they have something like a double cheese or a mexican burger...MMMMMmmmmmm Burger'ssss:woot:

After I read the nutrition info on the back of a Maccas Big Make and regular fries combo it lists that it provides half you daily fat intake. means that 2 macs and you have to starve yourself for the resat of the day as you'll be over. I wonder why there is an obesity epidemic these days.
Being Diabetic I can't handle all the sugar either

Had a lean beef burger at Macca's the other day, I was driving I tells ya, smelled and tasted like good beef, I was surprised. Buns were still as sweet and cakey as they've ever been, other difference was that the lettuce wasn't soaked in whatever it is that they use to keep it from going brown. So, the burger also didn't taste like lettuce anti-oxidant.
Unfortunately the lettuce was brown.
Not the same as a burger with everything from Smiling Joe's in Taree - Joe never smiles and his name isn't Joe, come to think of it, it isn't Smiling Joe's anymore, but they used to be great.

Trying to split hairs about which variety of animal excrement and adolescent essence-of-under-fingernail in a box is better leaves me thinking Gandhi was on to something.
Two thumbs down...

Macca's.
Thats not to say that they are the healthiest or tastiest Hamburger out there, but they are no more than a couple of minute off being cooked.
Hungry Jacks, never really liked as they taste like food that should be good, but is feral to the tounge. I have been led to believe they are higher in fat anyway - whether thats true or not.

Flipside burgers in North Fremantle and Wembley.
Their patty is a good as i can make myself, the only advantage I can gather from making your own over Flipside is that you can make sure you buy WA beef when you buy your own mince.

I go for real hamburgers with real meat also.
Not done a Macca burger or similar for over 20 years, from what I hear though there is very little actual meat present let alone anything remotely resembling nourishment.
So why do it?
Would anyone here pour liquid into our beloved Landy not knowing exactly what it is?

Give me the local Greek shop all the time, they are big, greasy, messy and have beetroot in the plain burger (well in NSW anyway) mmmmmmmm Georges
Best I've had, a little shop in Hamiton just after turning left at the Cambridge Hotel and just before the main shops (Newcastle) probably not there anymore and Nerriga general store (near Nowra) the biggest as well, closed now sadly.
Maccas burgers all taste the same and HJ put mayo on their burgers AND the plain burger is the size of a scone:eek::eek:
Baz.

I usually like HJ's better but after having a Prime Angus burger from maccas yesterday, they are definitely fresher than HJ's, Hj's has too much sauce, plus the prime angus one was something totally different, actually tasted like real salad and real meat!!

I don't eat Maccas or Hungry Jacks Burgers at all or hardly ever ,but if it was ONLY a choice between the 2, I prefer the HJ burgers over Maccas, the Poll should also include home made burgers.
