It'sNotWorthComplaining!

:( After hearing all the media hype about how the American giant Costco was going to turn around our shopping way of life with BIG discounts.
I signed up on line last night and paid the $60 annual membership to allow me to spend some of my hard earned $$$.
So off the family went to Harbour Town Docklands in Melbourne, a 80 kms round trip from home.
We we got there we were faced with a 3/4 hour traffic jam at the entrance, and no parking avail so we did a U turn and parked elsewhere and walked in.
When we got there we noticed a line of approx 300 metres of customers with shopping trolleys waiting to enter the store. Staff were at the door checking for membership cards or NO ENTRY!
I got in by showing my online receipt and was given a temporary entry slip for that day.
Well the place was large, they had Tvs, computer, food, clothes etc even a jewelry section and a optomatrist.
I scoured the aisles looking for any tool, or 4WD accessory bargains, well to my disappointment there was none. A couple of tents, a couple of eskies, some motor oil and some tool boxes.
There were hundreds of people inside but we found that the prices were nothing special, and most of my local suppliers had similar prices!
The motor oils were Haveline 20litre drums and the usual Valvoline XLD and XD in 5 litre tubes at prices you would get every day at Kmart or Supacrap.
Sure there were people filling their trolleies up with the hype of thinking they were getting a bargain. We walked out without buying anything.
It definitely was not as stated on TV programs that Costco was going to be the big discounter player in the supermarket scene. They also branded the produce with their brand just like Aldis do. Some one I heard commented that Aldi's was cheaper!.
The check out was a joke, a queue that would take an hour to get through, no express lanes.
We left very disappointed.
They claim you can cancel your membership at anytime for a refund.
I did this just now, but got an automated email that due to membership enquiries it could take up to 2 weeks to get back to me.:mad::mad:
What's the old saying??? " ah yes, if it's too good to be true then it probably isn't true.
All I can Say Good one current affair and today tonight, next time research your prices better!
