I must admit, spending time away for work as I do, it is nice to have the family around when I'm home.

Only present I've got was from my elder son. At 4.00 AM! His alarm monitoring company rang to say the alarm had gone off, they could not contact him or his wife, and I am next on the list.

Turns out he was at work (mobile off), his wife at her mother's (mobile off) - and they forgot to put the dog out! (And they have a motion sensor in the living room)

I took my father in law out to lunch with the other half, and gave my own dad a quick call. He was heading back out to Newman for work.

no presents, a couple of home made cards which is way better than purchasing them, spent the day with the boys which all started with a top notch breakfast cooked for me (the boys had a bit of help on this one.)

Took the boys to watch thw world mountain bike championships. Got autographs from all the top riders even.
