Which ones gas or oil filled shocks.......we would like to know who is running what in their series vehicles....ours is a "78 SWB series 3

Oil for leaf springs.

Im on just the standard oil filled ones and they are very light shockies at that, the leafs do a lot of dampning in their own rights.

Yes, agreed, but note that if you have parabolics they have much less damping, so shock absorbers become much more critical - spring suppliers should advise.

You often see quite good series shocks on ebay no need for Bilsteins unless you have parabolics

As mentioned, unless you have paras, shocks aren't too critical.

I have reconditioned original military monroe shocks on the front and OME RRC rears on the rear. RRC rears will fit straight onto a military 109, but you would need to raise the upper shock mounts 2" or so to fit them to a civvie model.

(NB - not reccommending the OMEs - got them cheap, and one started to leak within 6 months).
