Well we are off on Wednesday morning for a 4 week trip.:banana:

We are doing a loop from Melbourne - through Innaminka and Birdsville then across the Plenty Hwy to Alice. We'll spend some time around Alice before heading down to Kings Canyon and the rock, across to Dalhousie and then visit Lake Eyre on the way home.

The first half will be just me and my 12 year old son.

Mrs and Miss Bytemrk fly into Alice the day we get there.. ( I'll be very unpopular with the daughter if I'm late !.. she is already stressing about what they will do If I'm not there! Teenagers!! )

I'll try and pop in here with a few updates as we get around.

My son's teacher asked if we could take some pictures and email them back to his class . We found a way to do one better than that and built this Blog (http://tripblog.bugs-n-bytes.com/).

So when we can get NextG coverage we will be regularly updating that and uploading some pics to Flickr.

It also gives me a chance to support my AULRO addiction too.;):p

Thanks to all the people here that have helped while I prepped the Discovery too.. I think you all know who you are..

Anyway... more packing to do!.... Can't wait to get out there! https://www.aulro.com/afvb/images/imported/2009/09/1274.jpg

I might just have to get organised and swing past Cessnock one of these days :D
