Dunno how much you all know about fengshui, the ancient Chinese art (or science) of geomancy but thught I'd share an idea I've had for an article but never got around to writing.

The term feng shui literally translates as "wind-water" in English, and refers to the very ancient (at least 4,000 years old) study of how to harmonise life with the environment and the elements - Air, Fire, Water, Metal and Earth.

It may sound a bit mystical in these days of science and technology but much of it is common sense, like having houses face south in the far north so you catch the most sunlight.

Some examples of sound fengshui guidelines in 4X4 would be:
Water in Metal is good (i.e., safely contained within radiator and rest of cooling system, small exemptions for Land Rovers).
Metal in water may not be good, especially in over roof.
Water outside metal is good, especially if water is falling from sky. Again, small exemptions for Land Rovers.
Fire in Metal is also good ... it gives you power to move.
Metal in Fire is not so good ... your Rover is on fire!
Metal on Earth is the normal of thing, Metal in Earth is not.
Water and Earth together promises hard going - a challenge!
Best of all is, at the end of a long hard day, some FireWater.
Hope to collect more examples, maybe write a bestseller eventually.
