I couldn’t find anything in searching
Has anyone done any good seat mods, as far as putting different seats in, perhaps tilting Van seats or the rear bench seats from newer 4wds as front seats??

Ive seen the one with the Rangie leather rear seat in the front of that county in the UK, but there must be some other cheap swaps?

Problems with swaps -

1. Finding a seat that allows access to the under seat locker/battery.

2. The cost of engineering will probably make repairing/reupholstering/replacing the existing seats look cheap.

3. Most cheap seats are too high.

Got some Lemann seats from defender tuning. Very comfy, ADR compliant just got to get an engineer to approve them. Tilt to the back to access the compartments. Still got the originals got to sell them. One thing, is they are expensive, but the way i see it is, how long do you spend in your front seats? everytime you go for a drive right.....
i can get pics once my car is returned to me.
cheers geck

Should be very nice,. I look forward to seeing the photos, :)

I was thinking like, HiAce seats,. cause they are flat and rear hindge,.
there must be more good mods out there? people put every kind of seats in old Holdens and fords, with how wonky the floor pans often are,
you would think with a neat box like a fender people would have heaps of different things just bolting in, ?

ive added the photo of those rr rear seats, if some one knows where it is from and can add the link that would be cool just to keep it neat,
Rear seats are often very flat, low pro, a patrol rear bench might be the go?? they self support and bend every wich way.. ?

GS-ADI, we put in some Exmoor seats recently (ex UK). they came with seat rail and the base is removable as the standard seats are. The seats need some wearing in as the foam is still new but leaps and bounds in front of the originals.

The other seat we were looking at was the seats from an N13 Nissan Pulsar Sport/Reebok, these seats are great with lumbar support an most inportantly a flat/straight seat rail (being easier to adapt to the seat box I would think). I have heard them being called 'a poor mans' recaro. I looked around the wreckers for a good while (a good set is rare and about $200 - $300) but ended up importing the Exmoors because my patience gave out.

How much were the Exmoors landed?

looks like you should be wearing a smoking jacket with those seats...very fitting for a defender I feel:)

its good to see all these visual pics of the defender with different seats gives people lots of food for thought

If only I smoked, :)
The local wreakers at cardiff had crushed its saabs when they moved to the new location, so I’m going to need to track some seats down further out,
Sad thing is, he also crushed a series that was in mint condish, cause no one did buy it,… I nearly cried,..:( so he got scrap prices
