Could anyone tell me of a place near Sydney(I'm in the Blue MTNs), to get a chassis galvanized, how much does it cost, and can they get the surface rust off also?

Prices over here vary between about 90c and 150c per kg for "galvanised weight" = total weight of chassis + zinc after galvanising.

Some places have a fixed price for items like rims and chassis, so you may get a better quote if you ask the price for an RHS frame...

You will need top make sure all the holes in the chassis are open, and probably drill a few more in places like the dumb iron ends.

The acid/caustic bath they use can remove light surface rust, but they prefer it to be sandblasted prior to treatment.

Brace the chassis to avoid warping? Galved 110 chassis' have larger drainage holes them and a lot more of them.

I have galvanised almost 2 landies worth of steel bits and rims by now.

Unless they are bare steel, blue steel or light surface rust, they will most likely tell you to get them sandblasted then come back.
