hi guys , we have two Pet Dwarf rabbits that we'd like to give away to a good home , they provide great entertainment for kids , The thought of releasing them into the wild has cross our minds , infact I was going to bring them along to Blokes night out this weekend and release them into the Forest , but thought I put the offer on here if anyone would like to have them , I hate seeing animals in a cage :(....

and please no Stew jokes or recepies

Aren't they cute.

If we didn't have a Jack Russell I'd take them.

When you say "dwarf" what size are they?

Mahn;

length wise , If you put both the palms of your hands together they're about the combined size of two hands.:D

Edit : My dogs are good towards them , they're not agressive towards them in anyways and have come to accept them as part of the family.

I will withhold the stew jokes, but PLEASE don't go releasing them into the bush!

Hopefully someone will take them in and give them a loving, non destructive, home.

PS - I had pet bunnies as a kid, and the young brother in law has one out the back here but I can't take them in unfortunately.

I have no issue with pet bunnies, but when they are no longer contained, they cease to be anything but rifle fodder IMHO. :(

Disco Owner please do not release them into the wild.....for a start its not a good idea as rabbits are already a pest. but also it not fair on the rabbits when they have been domesticated they will more than likely die.

If you can't find a home do the right thing and surrender them to the RSPCA..it will have a cost to surrender them. but if they are friendly they will more then likely go for adoption (providing there not full). as we are adopting rabbits quite well lately.

As I said the thought of releasing them had crossed our minds , that doesn't mean we were about to take into wilderness and release them ;) as for rabbits being a pest , I already knew that... so you're not telling me something I don;t already know.

:D no Lokka , I'm not going to let them go so that they end up your Dinner plate :p

but seriously if you would like to have them for a Pet I'll give them to Cal to bring them home with him.

mmmmm this reads a little defensive Khos..wasn't trying to make you out to be bad person or anything.

I know you wrote you thought about it but you thought about it enough that you thought about doing on your night out even though you knew they were a pest.

up to you what you do with them at the end of the day just merely point out another alternative.

mouth zipped from now on:wasntme:

What does it cost to surrender a wife? And if you can't find her a good home.......

I hope my kids don't spot this thread:eek: They have been bugging me for years about wrabbits. They would not be safe here as I have 12 Dogs and too many foxes:(

Hope you find a home for them, Some one with young kids should take them on:)

Khos,

If you can't find anyone, try this group -
companionrabbit : Companion Rabbit - Australia (http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/companionrabbit/)

A friend of mine is keen on rabbits as we are Land Rover, but she's out of the country for a couple of weeks. PM if you still have them then and I'll see what she can do.

That's gotta be telling you something , your girls would love them , I don't have time to look after them and clean the cage which needs doing every day. :(
