Hi have been going through the paperwork I got with my 2002 Discovery and discovered it has had 3 recalls. The first one was recall no D148, the second was D169 and there is a mention of a recall to fix fuel leaks Involving Fuel tank removal and block?? under the bonnet (no recall number quoted? Another no. pops up this is recall D148VS and refers to the ABS Modulator?

Wondering is there somewhere I can look up the recalls and find out what was fixed?

Next silly question
Where is my radio arial??, The windscreen? or the RHS rear window. If its not on the RHS rear window, why does that window appear to have a demister type set up and not the LHS rear window. My reason for asking ? If the radio ariel is in the windscreen it might be an idea to get windscreen cover on my insurance.

Finally we are going to need a workshop manual, We have forgiven her for blowing up the alternator one week after the adoption after a great trip to NSW and back on half a tank, with the back overfull with the camping stuff. If anyone has an old one no longer needed, contact me on 0419-567-460 or adonuff@bigpond.com

PS if anyone needs bits for a TD5 alternator, I might be able to help out as long as its not the commutator or the bit the brushes fit into!
Thanks Andrew

The aerial is in the RHS rear window.

Whilst I have the printed workshop manual and the CD version (RAVE), the CD has also has the electrical reference and electrical circuit diagram manuals. The CD can be purchased from this site's shop.

Call your local dealer, give them your VIN (last 6) & they'll check for any thing outstanding, recall wise.

From memory, recall 148 was indeed for the ABS.I think it was due to cracking of the shuttle valve covers. These were replaced with stronger covers to solve the issue.
it seemed to work, but there are a lot of other ABS issues that can crop up.
If you come across error codes for the ABS don`t be too ready to pay for a replacement unit.Discos hate high resistances and poor contacts.Remove all connections and check earths and evidence of corrosion.Clean and tighten everything.
This may cure the issues.
