Saw a FC in a paddock when out walking the dogs the other day, but im having trouble loading up the couple of photos, cant seem to get the size of the file down. will probably post them up anyway,

I guess I need to ajust the file size prior to uploading to gallery ?

Diana is our series F/C expert.
Some thing looks wrong with the front metal work and some parts of the chassis.
Coil springs look interesting.
These things are big meccano sets and on the series F/Cs 90 percent of parts interchange with a normal rover of the time so a basket case could be worth while if you want to spend the time

Pardon my ignorance, or is the photo of someones hybrid? Since when did FC's have coils?

What a project that would be - a 100 inch FC !!

No such thing as beyond help. It's just resting!

I'm no expert on FCs, but it seems that the majority of FC particular parts are there...

Well actually it's a replica not the genuine article at all.

Note: Range Rover rostyle wheel.
Straight cut doors.
SIII hinges.
Possible coil spring tower below body work.
Possible 80" windscreen.
Rear body work wrong.
Absent upper chassis rail support brackets.

Addit: This thread contains posts from three separate threads on the same vehicle which have now been merged.

I thought it was just some body work sitting on a RR chassis.

GarryYou are probably very close to the truth. When you look at it the nose of the ?f/c body is actually a cut off front of a RR classic bonnet.

I do think that they were trying to make an f/c though. Have often thought about using a RRc body and moving it up as a cab on a forward control.

What a project that would be - a 100 inch FC !!There are a few, Vic Jaeger fitted a County front end onto a SIIB that had been his project vehicle since new.

The vehicle now lives in Canberra and is quite a superior ride to the original SIIB suspension.
