Hi guys,
Got Hebe fixed up and ready to go for her re-registration appointment next Tuesday. :MileStone: RWC 100% with 70% breakpower :) ready. Even though I am waiting for an oil switch sender and I have two different wiper arms with flimsy blades. I did a test drive in the rain today and hey... they worked somewhat.
Got an alarm installed today. The guy had a tough job getting everything hidden away. But he did it without loosing Hebe's originality. Microwave sensor, shock, doors, hood, ignition.... Ha... now I can safely drive back to Europe... :wheelchair:...:Rolling:
I'm going to look for 6 new all terain tyres. I want to use the car daily here in city center. Some off road now and then but mostly on road. And hey... maybe even a trip back to the Netherlands. Any suggestions on tyres? Any tyre shops recomended in/around Melbourne?
I found a shop which is reasonable in their pricing for a paint job with a little panel beating (nose dented :bangin:).
BUT, now I have to make a decission on the paint colour. I really like the feel of the picture in my previous post on the "Paint Colours thread (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/series-i-land-rover-enthusiasts-section/42632-paint-colours.html)". However, I am partially colour blind and need confirmation on what colour it exactly is? And I think I would like to go for either Sand or Beige. Does anyone have any colour pictures of a series 1 in these colours?
I think the original (export only) "Sand" colour is what I am looking for. But I really would appreciate your advise...
I think I like this:

(see thread "Paint Colours (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/series-i-land-rover-enthusiasts-section/42632-paint-colours.html)", same picture)
Anyone know which colour codes they would need in the shop here? ICI... or..? Which code for the picture above, and which one for the original Sand, if not the same?
After I paint the wheel rims... how to avoid stagnant water in the hood wheel rim? Drill a drainage hole... or?
Take care,
Kris & Hebe
